Includes cashbooks (1879-1901), state funds journal (1880-1881), financial (general) journal (1882-1889), monthly expense lists (1889-1900, scattered), general ledger (1901-1925), inmate account ledger (1874-1877), U.S. account ledger, for federal prisoners (1884-1906), inventory of prison property (1892), certificate of indebtedness to the State of Minnesota (1917), commodities ordering record (1898-1899), and miscellaneous financial record (1913-1915) containing a draft record for the new prison and what appears to be a payroll record. Also unidentified ledgers (circa 1860-1890) which appear to have been used to record a variety of accounts.
